If you’re intuitive, empathic, or spiritually open, you’ve probably had moments where you couldn’t tell if what you were feeling was a gut instinct or just nerves. And you're not alone.
One of the most common questions I get is:“How do I know if it’s my intuition or my anxiety talking?”
The line between fear and foresight can feel thin — especially when you're energetically sensitive. But there are ways to tell them apart.

What Intuition Feels Like
It’s calm, even when it’s guiding you away from something.
It’s immediate and subtle — like a quiet knowing.
It doesn’t panic or spiral. It simply knows.
It usually arises before your brain kicks in with logic.
Think of it like a breeze. Quick. Gentle. But firm in direction.
What Anxiety Feels Like
It’s chaotic, noisy, and repetitive.
It’s based in fear of what could happen.
It often brings physical symptoms — tight chest, racing thoughts, panic.
It spirals, overthinks, and replays the same idea again and again.
Anxiety is like a storm — loud and unrelenting.
How to Tell the Difference
Drop into your body — Intuition lives in the body; anxiety lives in the head. What do you feel in your gut or heart?
Ask yourself, “Did this come from stillness or fear?”
Wait 10 minutes — Intuition stays consistent. Anxiety usually escalates.
Pull a tarot or oracle card — Ask: What’s the truth beneath this feeling?
The more you slow down and listen, the easier it gets. Intuition doesn’t demand attention — it invites you to trust.
